Thomas and Percy are headed back to Strasburg Rail Road for our September Day Out With Thomas Event! We are excited about welcoming the dynamic duo to our station, and we invite you to join in the fun and make the most out of your time with us!
As Thomas the Tank EngineTM rolls into the station, be sure to listen as he greets all the little engineers who come to visit him. You can even make it into a game with your little ones and guess what he will say next! While you’re here, say hello to our friendly crew and take a picture with the Island of Sodor’s famous Sir Topham Hatt! Photo opportunities are everywhere during the event, and many of our guests choose to wear their favorite Thomas-themed apparel to coordinate with the occasion. So don’t be shy, if you have a favorite Thomas and Friends t-shirt, hat, or even socks, feel free to come dressed up.
If you get hungry we have plenty of food options available like hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, and chicken tenders. Or, if you have a packed lunch, join us under the live music tent or enjoy your meal at one of our picnic groves. You can get to the picnic groves by our standard steam train (Sodor Deluxe or Strasburg Combo ticket required), just let the conductor know you want to stop off at Groff’s Grove or Leaman Place Grove. After you eat you can catch a ride back to the station on one of our later trains.Â
In addition to our Day Out With Thomas Event…
In October we are introducing a new event, Thomas, Mavis, & The Strasburg Spooktacular! On October 25th – 27th, Thomas is coming to the Strasburg Rail Road for the Strasburg Spooktacular event, and he is bringing his friend Mavis with him! This special event features a 20-minute Halloween-themed train ride with Thomas, trick-or-treat stations, costume contests, pumpkin decorating, our regular activities like the Cranky Cars and Pint-Sized Pufferbelly, The Imagination Station which includes wooden play tables, story-time, temporary tattoos, photo opportunities, and more!
We can’t wait to see you and your family this fall. Be sure to purchase your ticket ahead of time to reserve your seat, and be sure to leave time to experience all the fun extras (included in your ticket) that Day Out With Thomas has to offer!
